POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to oversee the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements. Reporting to the Product Principal Engineer, you’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and drive process efficiency. If you have experience in project management and product development, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Creation and monitoring of overall Engineering Project Plan which pulls together the resource timing plans from: Chassis Mech / Body Mech / Electrical / Software / FEA / T&D / Homologation
* Monitor and assist design teams to release project BoM in line with business milestone requirements, working with other depts to manage exceptions where necessary
* Monitoring & control of Engineering Product Development Process compliance
* Support the completion of SoW documentation
* Work with Principal and Lead Engineers to ensure sufficient resource is available and possess the right skillsets to complete the design activity in line with the Project Plan.
* Control and flex resource strategically between projects with 4-5 week forecast
* Weekly meeting for approval and arbitration with PPE & HOD
* Ensure the Engineering MPR is maintained in line with future resource requirements.
* Release timing & cost versus latest estimate
* Current resource requirements versus allocated
* Status of BoM release in line with business milestones
* Report status on EPD elements including DVP actions & SSO completion
* Build Issues logged and resolved during build phase
* Consistency & commonality of process and documents for the above
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
* Ability to coordinate and support a team in the delivery of technical projects
* Experience in project management and processes
* Strong people management, planning and influencing skills
* Ability to manage others without formal authority
* Ability to work in a structured environment
* Ability to develop a relevant understanding of technical content
* The ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
* Good team player
* Able to work without supervision under own initiative
* Strives for continuous improvement
* Willingness to travel
* Experience of PSV production processes and procedures
