Working at Tregothnan is being part of Cornwall’s heritage and its modern future. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to develop a career in Accounts. You will learn to process financial transactions for the Accounts Team, working within a busy and friendly office, whilst studying for an AAT Level 2 qualification.Duties include: - Processing receipts on the sales ledger.- Reconciling the sales ledger and working on trade debtors.- Inputting and issuing purchase orders.- Assisting with processing invoices onto the purchase ledger.- Ordering items on behalf of the company as required, e.g. stationery, equipment, hotel bookings, etc.- Administration of the Accounts email inbox.- Assisting with banking, and administration of utility invoices and recharges processes.The position is initially on a 2-year fixed-term contract. On successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity to progress into the role of Accounts Assistant and study for AAT Levels 3 and 4. About You You will need:- 5 GCSEs, including Level 4 Maths and English.- A willingness to study for and the ability to achieve AAT Level 2 by the completion of the Apprenticeship.- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and attention to detail.- Good IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.- Good communication skills, a professional attitude, politeness and good levels of personal presentation.- Excellent timekeeping.- A flexible and positive attitude and a willingness to work occasional weekends to assist with stock takes and events.- The ability to maintain confidentiality.- The ability to work alone and as part of a team.- A full UK driving licence and your own transport to travel to and from work, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport. If you currently do not have a car or cannot drive, you would need to be committed to learning how to drive and having access to your own transport, as well as having a very reliable lift to and from work.
