Our client, established in 2018, is dedicated to supporting the UK’s mission to lower carbon emissions. Through the government-backed ECO Scheme, they deliver energy-saving solutions and system upgrades to improve efficiency in homes and buildings. With a strong emphasis on renewable energy, they hold full MCS and HIES certifications for the installation of air source heat pumps and solar PV systems. Their services also cover a variety of insulation options, including loft, underfloor, and internal wall insulation.
Due to continued growth, our client currently has a vacancy for a Fleet and stores coordinator, this position would suit someone who prides themselves on a professional approach with experience in this role.
The role will involve:
o Scheduling regular maintenance, overseeing repairs, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy and safe
o Record Keeping
o Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and usage.
o Identify and address issues that cause vehicle downtime, optimizing fleet utilisation
o Driver Management
o Ensure they meet safety standards and company policies.
o Preparing and completing stores checks for delivery or pickup according to the procurement manager
o Receiving and processing stores stock products
o Performing stores inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits
o Maintain a safe operating facility space
o Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with the project data storage system.
o Maintain physical condition of the stores; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
o Plan and manage driver schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimising routes
o Driver Behaviour:
o Monitor driver behaviour and implement programs to improve safety and efficiency.
o Ensure drivers comply with all relevant regulations, including hours of service and safety requirements.
o The stores person must ensure that the head office receives the following information.
o Daily - Incoming/outgoing shipment reports, copies of Goods receipt numbers (GRN’s) and quality inspection reports
o Weekly – Project related stock/material reports (in and out movements and quantities)
o Monthly – Physical inventory reports
Qualifications and Experience:
· Working within the fleet and stores sectors
· ISOH Managing Safety – (desirable)
· Proven working experience as a Fleet/store person
· Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
· Familiarity with modern fleet and stores practices and methods
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Ability to lift heavy objects
· Full UK Driving License essential
Schedule:
Shifts Monday to Friday: 07:30am to 13:30pm
Job Types Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
