Job description
Electrical AutoCAD Design Engineer
Sheffield
Hybrid - 2 days per week
Job Purpose
To ensure that all design files relating to the electrical aspects of a project are fit for purpose, accurate and in accordance with corporate requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervision and monitoring of AutoCAD resource and workload, reporting progress to department manager
2. Reviewing own and others work to ensure compliant design
3. Responsible for producing bespoke design or a combination of third-party equipment integrated within a bespoke design:
4. Cable Block Diagrams
5. Schematics
6. General arrangement of Control Panel Layouts
7. Cable schedules
8. Bill of materials
9. Using the advanced features within the AutoCAD Electrical package produce: such as symbol builder
10. Title block- updates
11. Symbol builder
12. Terminal block editor
13. Production of cable schedule reports
14. Development of standard templates for circuit design
15. Update and maintain of AutoCAD Electrical catalogue libraries
16. Creation of client specific drawing boarder templates and associated attributes
17. Provide support to third party partners / manufacturers as required
18. Flexibility to carry out other reasonable duties as required.
Technical Competencies & Experience
19. Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
20. Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Regulations
21. Hold current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
22. Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
