I am recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants in Kidderminster and the surrounding areas!
If you have experience working with children with special needs in a school or similar setting, Aspire want to hear from you! The schools we partner with have opportunities for working with children with SEMH, Autism, trauma, learning difficulties, challenging behaviours, and more.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils in the classroom, in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis.
* Use positive reinforcement techniques and behaviour-based instruction confidently.
* Follow specialized support plans to help children reach their full potential.
* Assist the teacher with tasks such as marking and delivering lessons.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Have experience or a passion for working with children with SEN
* Be flexible, proactive and patient
* Be nurturing and caring in your approaches
* Be able to communicate effectively within a team
* Have a Background in Education, Care, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
* Training or experience in non-verbal communication is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential. For example Makaton, PECS
