Who are we?
We are Shack Events, a leading bar & confectionery operator. We operate at some of the UK’s largest stadia and sporting venues, specialising in serving alternative drinks such as our own kegged spirit & mixers and cocktails, as well as heavily supporting with mainstream draught beer, craft beer and real ale. As of 2023 we also offer confectionery support, including pick & mix, doughnuts, ice cream and popcorn.
What’s the Role?
We are recruiting for the brand-new role of Senior Account Project Manager. The role will take ownership of our largest venue, Wembley Stadium, and will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of all events. The role will have a heavy focus on data analysis and the implementation of these findings, stock management and control and ensuring our entire operation is following our processes & procedures whilst maintaining a high quality throughout. You will oversee the entire operation at Wembley Stadium, from proposal through to debrief. This includes set up days, event days and breakdowns, a presence on site will be needed.
We are looking for someone who is confident in taking data, and turning their findings into a tangible and innovative plan. You’ll be expected to find ways to capitalise on your findings and ensure both the quality of the operation or customer experience is always held with the upmost importance.
You will oversee the day-to-day operation with the support of an experienced and talented team who are well established in their roles. It’s fundamental you have experience in managing both full time and casual staff and that a passion of yours is people. Team Management: A crucial aspect of this role is the day-to-day management & development of your team, ensuring we are always getting the best out of our talent. You must have shown extensive experience in leading and training multiple teams consisting of both full time, casual & seasonal roles. You will be solely responsible for managing your full time teams’ time and calendar. Leading by example, setting high standards and having a granular attention to detail are crucial. At least 2 years’ experience managing a full time team of their own
Client Relationships: We will require you to build good working relationships with the venue team at Wembley Stadium, ensuring you meet their needs and fulfil requests to a high standard.
Working to a budget: You will need to have strong experience in delivering complex operations and having autonomy in all areas, whilst having a financial understanding of the impact of your decisions. Your role will have full responsibility on hitting KPIs and working within a budget when it comes to cost of sale, payroll and operational expenses.
Stock Management Experience: Stock management is essential, and you will forecast and order all stock on site, whilst being solely responsible for stock rotation.
Due Diligence & Compliance: Compliance, due diligence and Health & Safety are core components to the role, and you will need to demonstrate the ability to manage all areas of operational compliance.
Hands on approach: The candidate must show excellent communication, collaboration and team player mindset. It’s key you must have a “can do” attitude and are happy to step in and help the team when needed.
Who will you be working with?
You will report directly to the Head of London Venues, working alongside the Future Leadership Team, and in some areas the Senior Leadership Team, and will be responsible for managing your own team. Your team will often consist of casual staff; you are responsible for ensuring the team on site are being efficient, empowered and upskilled.
Where & when will you be working?
The role will be based between our London office (Dollis Hill) and Wembley Stadium. This is to ensure the day-to-day operations are being managed efficiently, correctly and to the high standards we expect. You will be more office based during the winter months, but we require a strong presence on site throughout the year also. You will be required to work weekends, bank holidays and will be able to take limited holiday between the months of May and September.
