Applications are invited for a full time Consultant Psychiatrist to work in leading the Crisis/Home Treatment team based at Dorothy Pattison Hospital Walsall. These are existing posts within a well-established supportive team working in close collaboration with the 8 Consultants in General Adult Psychiatry and their teams. The locality is divided into eight sectors, having retained the Continuity of Care model. Patients have access to local beds and strong links with community services and the CRHT team ensure that patients remain close to home, and treatment is provided as close to home as possible. The CRHT team is seen as vital in maintaining this successful model. Main duties of the job The consultant will work with a Consultant colleague in CRHT; have the support of an experienced Associate Specialist and the recent addition of a CT3 trainee and an FY1, working alongside a very experienced team of nurses and other clinicians, using agile technology and with administrative support.
