The role is part-time, working Monday to Friday, with a specific focus on boosting performance in key areas and ensuring all pupils are fully prepared for their assessments.Key Responsibilities:- Provide targeted intervention sessions for Year 6 pupils to support their preparation for the SATs.- Focus on enhancing pupils' skills in Reading, Maths, GPS, and Writing to help them meet and exceed expected levels.- Use a variety of intervention techniques and strategies tailored to meet the individual learning needs of students.- Work closely with class teachers to track pupil progress and adapt intervention sessions as needed.- Provide regular feedback and support to pupils to help them build confidence and improve their test-taking skills.- Support the school in creating a positive and focused environment leading up to the SATs.- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring all pupils are on track to achieve their potential.Essential Criteria:- Experience working in primary education, particularly with Year 6 students preparing for SATs.- Proven track record of delivering successful intervention programs, particularly in Reading, Maths, GPS, and Writing.- Strong understanding of the Year 6 SATs curriculum and assessment requirements.- Ability to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate pupils.- A patient, supportive, and encouraging approach to working with students.- A commitment to helping pupils achieve their best and develop a love for learning.Desirable Criteria:- Experience working with children who require additional support to meet their learning targets.- Knowledge of a variety of intervention programs and teaching resources.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the academic success of Year 6 pupils at a crucial stage in their primary education.
