What you’ll be doing
You will utilise state-of-the art methods, technology and tools to explore all aspects of the development lifecycle, engineering analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build and product support. The job holder will interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and liaise closely with Engineers from other disciplines, particularly Systems and Software Engineering.
1. Take responsibility for the electronic development and delivery of a variety of Electro mechanical Systems
2. Undertake line management responsibility for a team of Electrical & Electronic Engineers within the Maritime Solutions division.
3. Provide technical support to a small multi-disciplinary team of Engineers on specific projects.
4. Support and facilitate reviews and approvals of electrical & electronic designs in accordance with business and industry standards
5. Support SEA products through manufacturing, assembly, installation, and service life.
6. Support the preparation and submission of bids and proposals, including interfacing with customers and suppliers and generating engineering estimates
The skills you need
1. Experience in the design and manufacture of Electro-mechanical Systems
2. Previous Line management experience
3. Ability to follow a methodical/systematic approach to analyse and solve problems, identifying key facts and breaking down complex information to components parts
4. Full lifecycle experience from requirements decomposition to acceptance and user sign off on multi-disciplinary programmes
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
