The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Matron will be responsible for the line management of the Digital Change Leads, the User Researchers and provide assurance to the Deputy Chief Nursing Information Officer (DCNIO) / Chief Nursing Information Officers (CNIOs) on the implementation of University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) and Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CRH) joint EPR.
The department is jointly led by the UHDB’s CNIO and CRH CNIO who will be completely integrated with the running of the department by giving the strategic vision and leadership.
The team's aim is to provide expert support to all parts of the organisation to ensure that the transformation of clinical services which are enabled by technology are achieved and we enable staff to own the change to ensure they champion working digitally.
The team are responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of digital tools and that both organisations' values are embedded and wherever possible processes are standardised between both organisations, the patient's journey is as seamless as possible as the patient transfers between care settings.
The department should enable the maximisation of Integrated working across the “Integrated Care System” and the East Midlands Acute Partnership (EMAP). The User Researchers will support the design process and improvement of the EPR solution as well as support research.
Lead a team to provide leadership to deliver transformation of the organisations new EPR (Nervecentre) providing clinical leadership.
Ensure there is a robust and strong line management process in place for managing the Digital Clinical Leads and the User Researchers.
Provide leadership, direction, and advice to enable the team to undertaking design, planning, implementing, and monitoring of Digital and Transformational Change across the organisations.
