Job Summary The Managing Director will play a pivotal role in leading the organisation, and driving the financial performance. This leadership position requires an ambitious and dynamic individual who can effectively manage teams, drive sales growth, and oversee financial management. Our business is an SME, so at times, you will be required to 'roll up your sleaves'. The ideal candidate will possess a strong vision for the future and the ability to inspire others to achieve it. Duties Provide strategic direction and leadership to all departments within the organisation. Meet financials targets and be responsible for performance. Supervise the team and ensure alignment with company objectives. Manage financial resources effectively, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement business strategies that enhance efficiency and profitability. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers. Lead or manage product development and expansion. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Skills Leadership skills and ability to motivate. This role would be suitable for a first time MD. Experience in e-commerce. Knowledge of heating engineering. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers and suppliers. Strategic thinking with the capability to make informed decisions that benefit the organisation's long-term goals. Familiarity with financial reporting including P&Ls (you will be supported by an FC and the investor on this). Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
