Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher of Geography to cover a temporary position from half-term until Easter. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and marking lessons, ensuring pupils achieve their best in this important subject.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons, tailored to a range of abilities.
* Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and marking work consistently.
* Adapt lessons as necessary to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
* Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging pupils to explore geographical concepts.
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
What We Are Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Geography or a related field.
* Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload of planning and marking.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
