Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for a construction project in Cambridge, starting on 13th January 2025. The role is expected to last for 10 months, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that the project runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule. The day rate for this position starts at £350 per day, with potential for negotiation based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision: Manage and oversee all site activities, ensuring that the project progresses according to plan, within budget, and on schedule.
Health & Safety: Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety and compliance.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate on-site workers, subcontractors, and other personnel, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks.
Site Reporting: Provide daily updates and progress reports to the Project Manager. Monitor performance and highlight any issues or delays.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards, complying with project specifications and quality control procedures.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with architects, engineers, and other relevant parties to resolve any issues or concerns.
Document Management: Maintain accurate site records, including timesheets, safety reports, and other documentation required for compliance.Required Qualifications & Skills:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Certification - Essential
First Aid Certification - Essential
Proven experience as a Site Manager in a similar construction environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction procedures.
Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage a team and coordinate multiple tasks.
