Main duties of the job Advises practice on cold-chain and governance procedures Analysing patient prescribing data, using the audit tools available, and discuss the results with prescribers. By observation and audit ensure robust repeat prescribing systems are in place and implemented. Assist in training of staff laid down by documented protocols. Provide support to the Locality Lead Medicines Management in practice medicines management meetings. Support Medicines Management developments in the locality being first point of contact, in relation to for example fridge failures. Obtaining drug, therapeutic and pharmaceutical information. Provide elements of training for new members of staff and the local acute hospital pre-registration pharmacy students and diploma pharmacists, including competency sign-off. Responsible for the vaccine rooms within the local vaccination centres, ensuring cold-chain governance and compliance. Please refer to the Job Description for further detail.
