This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working with SEN or a strong desire to champion inclusive education to make a meaningful impact. As a cover supervisor, you will work across multiple classes, supporting students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and emotional or behavioural challenges. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, offer focused 1:1 or small group support and ensure every student has access to a tailored and enriching educational journey. Located on a beautiful campus surrounded by woodland and close to the seaside, our school serves students aged 4 - 19 with autism and complex needs. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast with a love for dynamic learning environments, you’ll thrive here Key responsibilities: Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to SEN students in the absence of the classroom teacher Create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels supported and valued Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs and other staff to provide focused, personalised support Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to students and staff Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s policies and procedures What we’re looking for: The ideal candidate will have: A strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare If you are an enthusiastic and caring professional ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
