We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team, based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 6BW, Band 5 salary equivalent.
The Pharmacy department at The London Clinic comprises a number of areas which work together to provide effective patient services and the best possible outcomes for our patients.
We have extensive oncology services, including a purpose-built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite, as well as an automated medication dispensing system which supports decentralised medicine management in numerous wards.
Job Profile
As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, you will participate in a safe, efficient, and accurate technician-led pharmacy operational service across all sites at The London Clinic. This is a rotational post through Dispensary, Distribution, and Procurement with the eventual addition of Ward services.
The post holder will ensure that the services are delivered in a safe, effective, economic, and timely manner and will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation and procedures are carried out in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
Shifts: Monday to Sunday 8.30 am to 7.30 pm as rostered.
Salary: Band 5 Salary equivalent.

Key Duties
* Participate in the provision of a safe, efficient, and accurate dispensing service to all pharmacy users, including the dispensing of controlled drugs.
* Support and direct the workflow of all dispensary staff, ensuring SOPs are followed and standards are maintained.
* Manage day-to-day ordering of medicinal products.
* Raise consumable and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) orders to suppliers and central stores in the absence of the Pharmacy administrative assistant.
* Support the Senior Pharmacy Technician (Medicines Management) and ward pharmacists in managing an efficient, accurate, and flexible near patient service to the hospital wards.
Skills & Experience
* NVQ Pharmacy Services Level 3 with accredited underpinning knowledge (BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and the Practice of Pharmacy Technicians) or equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
* Evidence of CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
* Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.
