Trust Tax Director

Are you a senior manager or director with significant experience in trust taxation looking for a new challenge? Join a firm that supports your development.
Leading our Trust tax team, you'll deliver first-class tax compliance and advisory services to our personal tax clients.
What you'll be doing day to day
1. Ensure compliance with legislative and ethical standards within the Trust team.
2. Resolve client issues efficiently, meeting timescales and budgets.
3. Lead and develop a team of advisors.
4. Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, individuals, and intermediaries to provide top-tier service.
5. Manage a portfolio of trust and high-net-worth clients, reviewing and signing off advice.
6. Review and advise on trust accounts.
7. Participate in marketing and business development for trust services.
8. Support team growth and trust business expansion.
9. Upskill colleagues in other departments to manage risk and identify opportunities.
10. Meet with clients to assess and advise on tax planning, overseeing team delivery.
11. Collaborate with Private Client tax partners to identify opportunities and risks.
12. Promote firm-wide services, especially financial planning.
13. Allocate work effectively and meet departmental targets.
14. Assist in the operation of the trust corporation.
About you
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with up-to-date technical knowledge. STEP qualification is desirable.
3. Ability to lead and inspire a team.
4. Highly motivated with excellent client engagement skills, especially with high-net-worth individuals.
5. Organised with strong planning skills to meet deadlines.
6. Creative problem solver with a strong desire to succeed.
