Vacancy Name: Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
Location: This is a field-based position, working on-site at high street retail stores and banks, predominantly covering SA postcodes.
Salary: Up to £40,107 depending on qualifications and experience, plus on-call and overtime, and other employee benefits including Pension, Life Assurance, Employee Shares Schemes, Reward program, Employee Assistance program, and many other benefits and employee discounts.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Undertaking the maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment, including service, maintenance, and repair of split AC systems, VRV/VRF systems, and heat pumps.
2. Working on specific refrigeration equipment such as chilled cabinets/multideck or ice machines.
3. Completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of manufacturer plants, for example, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. Understanding installation designs and bespoke manufacturer troubleshooting procedures, while being comfortable with seeking manufacturer technical support autonomously, is desirable.
The successful applicant will:
1. Have a full current driving licence and be willing to participate in an On-Call rota.
2. Be capable of performing manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
3. Possess good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA).
4. Be highly self-motivated and solutions-focused, with the ability to work without supervision while also enjoying teamwork.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a Maintenance/Facilities Management environment. You must have relevant qualifications, e.g., FGAS & ODS regs, time-served apprenticeship, C&G Level 3/NVQ or equivalent. Knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures, and safe systems of working is essential. You will be provided opportunities for training, development, progression, and internal promotions.
