This role is part time, hybrid working but with occasional travel to the office in Tamworth or to client sites as required This is a great opportunity to join an established, growing HR consultancy business in Tamworth. Due to the continued success and growth of the business our client needs someone to primarily focus on managing and enhancing employee relations for their diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in employee relations, a comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, and the ability to navigate complex HR scenarios with professionalism and discretion. On offer is flexible part time working 16 hours per week but the ideal person must be in the Midlands ( or within 30 miles of Tamworth ). What we need from you to apply for this role: Proven experience in an employee relations role, preferably within a consultancy or multi-sector environment In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application CIPD qualification (Level 7) or equivalent is highly desirable Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously UK Driving Licence What the role involves: Provide expert advice and support to clients on employee relations matters, chairing meetings where required, in cases of disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, performance management, and conflict resolution Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures Develop, review, and implement employee relations policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practices Manage and track employee relations cases, maintaining detailed records and ensuring timely resolution of issues Create and maintain a structured system for ER case documentation, reporting, and follow-ups to support client compliance and strategic decision-making Train, coach and mentor client managers to enhance their capability in handling employee relations issues effectively Stay abreast of changes in employment law and advise clients accordingly to ensure compliance Prepare ER-related reports and analytics to provide insights and trends for clients. Support other HR functions, such as recruitment, training, and organisational development, as required Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 pro rata. (FTE). Hours: Working 16 hours per week with potential to increase if desired. Over 3 days minimum, 4 days preferable.
