We are currently recruiting for part time (20 Hours) Night Hostel Workers, at Westbourne House in Hull. Hours vary across a rolling rota and include weekends.
Westbourne House houses vulnerable and complex individuals with the aim of improving their life chances, achieving short/long term goals. Our main aims are to assist service users into appropriate accommodation or independent living. The dedicated staff team strive to better residents’ situations through building trusting relationships with hard-to-reach clients, assisting with life skills and potential barriers and signposting to relevant external services.
The successful candidate must:
Have the personality to communicate at all levels with clients from different backgrounds and with differing needs, as well as colleagues and other professionals.
Have empathy, drive and determination and a social responsibility towards making a difference to those who require a helping hand.
Have knowledge or experience within the homelessness sector - this is preferred, however not essential.
Salary - £13,156 per annum
