EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
In this new role at Severn Trent, we’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Engineer with experience of Field Service Management (FSM) who will support the stabilisation, integration, and continued maintenance of the application into our business. As an experienced engineer in the field, you will be involved in designing, creating, and managing the software throughout its lifecycle.
As a technical engineer, you’ll analyze our user needs and requirements, make design recommendations, and code or configure solutions to achieve our ongoing business objectives. There will be close collaboration with our Enterprise & Solution Architects to ensure the future of the applications is fit for purpose.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Providing customer service support by troubleshooting application issues and documenting root causes, keeping stakeholders updated.
* Ensuring standard requests are completed within SLA and small application changes are delivered in line with priorities, keeping stakeholders informed.
* Working with architects and colleagues to ensure software upgrades are completed as required to keep applications supported and patched.
* Collaborating with architects, engineers, and developers to design solutions that meet business requirements, including the end-to-end solution development lifecycle (SDLC).
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We value character, positivity, and a caring attitude equally with the right skills and experience. You should have proven experience working with Salesforce, specifically using the FSM packages. Knowledge of Apex, LWC, and Flows is crucial, and understanding of Visualforce pages and Lightning components (AURA) is a plus. Exposure to Salesforce integration with external systems is also desirable.
We seek someone with a troubleshooting mindset and resourcefulness to grow in the role. A drive to deliver solutions, along with a continuous improvement and analytical mindset, will help you identify application enhancements and improve business performance through incident and problem analysis.
Your attitude and motivation to do a great job are as important as your experience.
We do more because we care.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We offer a range of benefits that recognize great work, along with award-winning training to help you reach your potential. We also support your role in caring for the environment and communities where we live.
Some of our key perks include:
* 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days per year)
* Annual bonus scheme (up to £2,250 per year based on company performance)
* Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%)
* Sharesave – opportunity to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discount
* Dedicated training and development through our ‘Academy’
* Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers
* Family-friendly policies, including a year of fully paid maternity and adoption leave
* Two volunteering days per year
