Right now, we are looking for a Transport Clerk to join our Transport Team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.
The Role
The Transport Clerk will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of our transport office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communicating effectively with HGV drivers, driver mates, third parties, and office colleagues.
2. Manning the outbound loads, generating driver paperwork, issuing drivers their assigned work/journey and conducting the pre-brief. Completing the de-brief, investigating any route or time discrepancies and escalating issues to a manager.
3. Collating, recording and reporting information as required for a safe, smooth, efficient delivery operation. Maintaining all relevant systems so they are accurate and used to their full effectiveness.
4. Sharing relevant information across your shift and escalating issues in a professional manner to shift managers.
5. Monitoring scheduled outbound loads to ensure timely deliveries and communicating any delays in a timely manner.
6. Providing administrative support to the Transport Coordinators.
7. Feeding back to Managers common trends, patterns and concerns with any queries or questions colleagues continually raise or information that indicates there may be a problem.
8. Being approachable and confidential; building trust-based relationships across the operation.
9. Keeping workstations clean and tidy.

1. A basic understanding and compliance with Transport Operators legislation.
2. Attention to detail for accurate data entry.
3. Working knowledge and experience of transport operations.
4. Experience using traffic management systems.
