Job Summary
This role is ultimately accountable for Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and Membership at Rudding Park. It is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and enhancing brand presence. With a strong bias towards sales, this role focuses on securing new business, maximizing rate, occupancy, and profitability. The position requires a dynamic, results-driven individual with expertise in hospitality sales, a strong understanding of revenue optimization, and experience in brand development.
An understanding of both commercial and operational aspects of the business is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be seen as a leader across the whole business, able to flex their approach to suit the internal and external business environment, and act as an ambassador for Rudding Park at all times. The individual will be pivotal in executing the next phase of the Rudding Park growth story.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Business Development
* Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to maximize revenue across all areas of the resort.
* Build and nurture relationships with key national accounts and stakeholders to enhance market reach and drive new business opportunities.
* Establish and maintain a strong national presence, cultivating long-term relationships with influential industry contacts, partners, and clients.
Revenue Management and Optimization
* Oversee the revenue management team to ensure development of dynamic pricing strategies based on demand forecasting, competitor analysis, and market trends.
Marketing and Brand Development
* Oversee the marketing team to ensure development of strategies and campaigns that align with the vision, sales goals, and focus on generating inquiries.
Resort Membership
* Lead the development and implementation of membership programs that attract and retain guests to the resort, developing strategies to drive membership revenue and retention.
Team Leadership and Cross-Department Collaboration
* Lead and develop a high-performing sales, marketing, revenue management, and membership team, fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence.
* Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and maximize upselling opportunities.
* Flexibly adapt leadership approach to suit the internal and external business environment.
* Maintain a strong understanding of operational processes to complement commercial strategies.
* Work closely with finance and ownership teams to align sales and revenue strategies with overall business objectives.
* Act as an exceptional ambassador for Rudding Park at all times.
* Be a pivotal leader in executing the next phase of the Rudding Park growth story.
Qualifications And Experience
* Proven track record in sales leadership within the luxury hospitality sector, preferably in a resort.
* Strong understanding of revenue management, with experience in dynamic pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies.
* Solid marketing acumen, covering digital marketing, brand management, and lead generation.
* Experience in driving membership programs and strategies.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Strong commercial mindset with a results-driven approach to sales and revenue growth.
* Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with a talent for building strong client relationships.
* Proven experience in national relationship building and the ability to drive long-term partnerships.
* An understanding of both operations and commercial aspects is essential.
