This is a 12-month maternity cover role for a Financial Assistant to support all financial operations. The role will support a number of key areas including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash flow forecasting, and monthly management reporting.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
* Ensuring purchase invoices are coded to the correct nominal, department code, and correct VAT treatment.
* Weekly bank reconciliation on Sage and daily cash reconciliations.
* Entering customer receipts onto Sage and following up on underpayments.
* Issuing monthly customer statements.
* Assisting in cash flow forecasting.
* Assisting with month-end payroll, including checking clocking-in reports and maintaining payroll analysis.
* Assisting with month-end journals and month-end reporting.
* Collaborating closely with the wider Finance Team as well as non-finance departments to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Minimum of 2 years financial experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in financial software, including Sage 50.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
AAT Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping would be favorable.
