Are you an experienced and motivated individual looking for a rewarding leadership role within Adult Social Care? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist Team Leader to join our dynamic Adult Social Care Service, reporting to the Locality Manager.
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality social care services to our local community. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, support and supervision to ensure the best outcomes for our service users.
Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and workload management
2. Provide leadership and support to team members, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective partnership working
4. Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
5. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and best practice, ensuring compliance and promoting continuous professional development within the team
To excel in this role, you should possess:
6. Extensive experience within the field of Adult Social Care, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
7. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving shared goals
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders
9. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing demands
10. A commitment to delivering person-centred services and promoting the independence and well-being of our service users
