Youth Support Worker (Brief key duties)
To be the key member of staff at a residential service responsible for the safety, security and comfortability of young people we support (16-25).
To ensure they are reaching their potential in terms of education, employment and/or training.
Preparing them for self-management and a more independent lifestyle by focusing on identifying where their dependencies are and supporting these areas to become less dependent on staff and services in their pathway to independence.
Someone who is a good communicator on all levels whether that by young person interaction, team and staff dialogue, or able to liaise confidently with external professionals including social workers, personal advisers, YOS, etc.
You will need to be IT literate and maintain and update a quality management system, recording logs, incident reports, and all aspects of YP support on a cloud-based paperless system.
We require you to possess or sign up and work towards a Health and Social Care (Child and Adult Workforce) Level 2/3 qualification.
Part of this role requires elements of maintaining the environment to a good standard which includes some cleaning responsibilities.

Clear Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS required.
This role requires shift working - e.g., start 4 PM, work till midnight, you will then sleep at midnight and be ready to start work again at 8 AM till 4 PM.
The right person can expect ongoing vocational and mandatory annual training with fantastic operational and management support to develop in this role.
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
