Our client based in Keighley is looking to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Manager on a full-time basis.
Duties will include:
1. General accounting duties Sales & Purchase Ledger
2. Bank reconciliations
3. Credit control
4. Monthly management reporting
5. Staff payroll
6. Staff pensions
7. Processing monthly management accounts including VAT returns and all year-end activities
8. Managing of intercompany balances and reconciliations
9. Processing supplier invoices for multiple companies
10. Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
11. Posting cash via cashbook and ledgers
12. Completing month-end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations
13. Processing daily financial post
14. Liaise with external accountants and communicate all relevant information with each department and answer and respond to all external queries in a timely manner
15. File all documentation into relevant departments and companies
16. Liaise with customers / suppliers regarding any accounting enquiries ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner
17. Review financial information with the intention of proactively identifying any issues and taking corrective actions
18. Prepayments and accruals
19. Material / labour variance analysis, checking stock movement against system and processing the necessary journals
20. Setting labour and overhead rates
21. Petty cash management.
Personal skills / experience
1. In-depth understanding of various accounting tools, including systems application and products (SAP) enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM)
2. In-depth understanding of the industry and product supply chain
3. Analytical skills
4. Numeracy skills and computer skills
5. Attention to detail
6. Organisation and communication skills
7. Ability to quickly interpret facts and compare data.
Qualifications
They are looking for an individual with suitable qualifications such as an AAT qualification in finance or a related field and a minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar position. Experience in Manufacturing and engineering industries is an advantage.
Hours of work
4 day week Monday to Thursday.
Salary
£35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience.
