A leading PLC house builder based in the South West is seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee and enhance its financial operations. As the Group Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring robust financial governance across the organisation. This position offers a platform to drive efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of consolidated group accounts, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards. Oversee cash flow management and financial risk analysis. Manage and develop a high-performing finance team. Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership. Enhance internal controls and financial processes. Drive efficiencies and contribute to long-term business goals.
What We’re Looking For:
(ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5+ years post-qualification experience. Demonstrable experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the construction, property, or related sectors. Expertise in group consolidations and IFRS reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mind-set. A proactive leader capable of inspiring teams and influencing stakeholders. Familiarity with large PLC environments or high-growth businesses is an advantage.
Location: South West, with occasional travel as required
