We are recruiting a Senior Project Accountant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Full Time/Fixed Term for 24 Months

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Financial Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The successful applicant will support the Deputy Head of Financial Services to provide financial and accounting support to the Mobilising Team Caerphilly (MTC) Transformation Programme.
The postholder will work with the Finance team, MTC programme and project leads to complete financial modelling to support the Transformation Programme, including Saving option appraisal and Cost Benefit modelling.
You will monitor and report on the MTC programme savings delivery, providing financial advice and guidance to the programme and driving continuous improvement in financial processes to deliver savings and ensure that the team is operating in the most effective and efficient way.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A relevant financial qualification. For example Association of Accounting Technicians.
Financial Modelling including Net Present Value (NPV), Cost/Benefit, Lease v Buy.
Significant financial experience preferably gained in an accounting environment.
