Job Title : Care Support Worker - Mental health

Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for :
1. Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
2. Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse
3. Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
4. Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.
5. The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

Trust: Devon Partnership NHS Trust
Location : -
Trust also covers areas in Exeter, Torquay,Ivybridge, Barnstaple. Main hospitals are exeter and Torquay.
Pay Rate : £12 - £21
Shift Patterns: 7:30am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 12:30pm, 9am to 5pm, 12:30pm to 8:30pm, 3:30pm to 8:30pm, 8pm to 8am

The role will involve, but not be limited to youperforming the above.
What youll need:
10. A minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Care Assistant(Qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience)
or
11. Studying as a Student Nursewith at least 12 weeks clinical placements, studying towards a Mental HealthNursing degree
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variableadditional certification and skills.

22. All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes:
23. Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements.
24. Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation
25. QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011
26. QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011
27. QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only)
28. Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.
