Perched high looking across the Beamish conservation valley lies Red Row Estate - a glorious 37-acre sprawl with lavender field and woodland, riddled with wildlife and farmyard antiques, and home to the Black Horse Beamish restaurant, The Orchard Marquee, Old Red Row Rooms, Red Row Retreat, and Huckleberry Cottage.
Role Summary: As a Sales and Event Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and expanding our presence in the wedding and events market. Your primary responsibility will be to actively seek out new business opportunities and build strong relationships with potential clients.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Meet prospective clients for show-arounds for weddings, private functions, and corporate functions.
2. Ensure a prompt and professional response or follow-up to sales enquiries, wedding show-arounds, and FAM trips.
3. Track, analyze, and make recommendations on business conversion statistics.
4. Research competitors on wedding trends, offerings, and pricing to ensure the company remains competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
5. Prepare weekly and monthly reports outlining the Business on the Books for the current and following years.
6. Prepare pace reports comparing bookings year on year, identify potential challenges, and suggest solutions.
7. Generate quotations for prospective bookings and timely follow-ups. Liaise with clients in relation to coordinating the intricate details of their events.
8. Generate sufficient information for invoicing of events. Up-sell products and services throughout the event process to maximize revenue.
9. Management of customer feedback including responding to guest problems and complaints relating to weddings and events.
10. Take ownership for recurring challenges and ensure the issues are resolved.
11. Schedule and attend weekly function and sales meetings.
12. Liaise and maintain a relationship with other departments to ensure the effective, efficient, and smooth running of events.
13. Assist in promotional and marketing activities.
14. Ensure a prompt and professional response and follow-up to sales enquiries.
15. Assist with the development of brochures and promotional materials.
16. Contribute to the preparation of annual sales and events targets.
17. Attend workshops, exhibitions, and promotional events where required.
18. Work closely with other members of the events team.
19. Assist the Marketing Executive with promotional activities.
20. Keep the team up to date with potential leads and all upcoming events.
21. Be the face of the sales team to promote the venue.
