Job Description The Physician Assistant Program Didactic Faculty position will involve teaching, evaluation, advisement, and mentoring of physician assistant students in classroom, clinical, and other settings. Faculty members will participate in the admissions and selection process, in program organization, evaluation, planning, administration, and management and will assist in continuous review and analysis of the program’s effectiveness and in preparation for the program assessment by accreditation bodies and others. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited physician assistant training program and certification by NCCPA. current licensure or eligibility for Tennessee licensure. possession of a master’s degree in physician assistant studies and actively engaged in or willing to obtain a doctoral degree in a field related to medical science. minimum of two years full time clinical experience as a physician assistant. teaching experience in classroom and clinical setting, preferably in an institution of higher learning. program administrative or leadership experience. excellent oral, written, organizational, and computer skills. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in a field related to medical science or education. full time experience in higher education as a faculty member in a PA training program. evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and for scholarly activity.
