About this client: Millie is a creative and engaging 4-year-old living with her family in Hailsham, East Sussex. Millie loves imaginary play; you may be lucky enough to receive a new hairstyle whilst visiting her hairdressing salon or be the shopkeeper when she is doing her shopping! Millie has a Brain Injury and Epilepsy and has daily and emergency medication onsite. As a result of her Brain Injury, Millie has no sense of danger or risk, is sensory-seeking, and is sensitive to touch. She is fiercely independent and knows her own mind; she can feel frustrated while she learns about her abilities and works on her development skills.
Overview of role: The SEN Support Worker will implement a play-led therapy programme, using a fun and creative approach. Millie has huge potential, and early intervention is key to ensure she has all opportunities available to exceed her targets and goals. Training will be provided by her therapy team to support you in this role. Millie will require support with all aspects of her daily routine, which includes activities such as local playgroups, swimming, dancing, and forest school.
Who this job would suit: An experienced female Teaching Assistant, Play Worker or SEN professional, seeking a position within a family setting. You will have a passion for play and understand that this is a huge part of the role with Millie, not only for her to have fun but importantly, to learn and grow. As Millie is very active and can struggle with focus and concentration, you will need to be quick on your feet as well as your head, creative, and always thinking outside the box.
What’s great about this job: Millie is a confident, curious, and at times mischievous little girl. She will keep you on your toes and make you smile and laugh every day. Excellent training available and flexibility to set your own working days. Come and join Millie’s team and work with one of the nicest, supportive, and welcoming families and a professional case management company.
