Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Cambridge (hybrid working available)
Position: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum

Lynx Recruitment is working with an innovative life sciences company, originally spun out from a prestigious UK university. As Senior Electronics Engineer, you'll join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing sophisticated life science platforms. Their technology enables breakthrough discoveries in cancer research and immune diseases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive electronics design from concept through prototype to manufacture
2. Develop solutions focusing on:
1. Data and signal processing on FPGAs and microprocessors (Verilog and C++)
2. High-speed circuit design
3. Control algorithms
4. High-voltage signal generation
3. Create schematics and PCB layouts (up to 6-layer)
4. Develop embedded low-level code
5. Produce technical documentation
6. Source components and manage supplier relationships
7. Participate in design reviews
Required Skills
1. Degree in Physics, Engineering or equivalent
2. Proven experience with Electronic CAD (Altium preferred)
3. Track record in complex product development
4. Strong knowledge of communication protocols (RS485, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)
5. Hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting abilities
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
