This is a leading international manufacturing business with operations across a number of jurisdictions in the EU and worldwide, who are looking for an eager and career-driven tax assistant to handle international group tax matters across corporate and indirect taxes. The business operates globally, with major operations across the US and South America, EMEA, and APAC - with this role offering exposure to all three. They are also looking for someone who wants to gain further specialist tax qualifications, such as the ACCA and CTA, which will be fully funded. This role is based in Ellesmere Port and offers hybrid working and flexible hours. The tax team has circa 9 people globally, led by experienced and supportive managers.
Your new role
This role covers a range of direct and indirect taxpliance and advisory matters across a variety of regions globally, with plenty of training and development on offer to bring you up to speed. This will include rotations between direct and indirect taxes, along with the opportunity to further specialise in different global regions for the business. Some of the main responsibilities will include:
1. As part of a team,piling and analysing data required toplete VAT, Intrastat and other indirect tax submissions across the EMEA and APAC regions.
2. Preparing and auditing of monthly VAT account reconciliations for reporting to Group Finance.
3. Providing support for quarterly and annual tax reporting for the group, including UK corporate tax analysis andputations.
4. Assisting the Tax Leads in specific projects, including ERP and reporting optimisation, country by country reporting, cash flow monitoring and reporting, and transfer pricing.
5. Supporting the Tax Leads in other ad-hoc projects as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will have some existing finance experience, and be a career-driven, confident individual who is looking to specialise in tax for a global business. Although it would be preferred, you do not need specialist tax knowledge, but must be eager to learnplex tax matters and progress your career down this route. Thepany are eager to offer further qualifications for this individual, so an ambition to be a chartered tax advisor (CTA) would be ideal. You will be apetent user of systems such as excel, and preferably have knowledge of SAP, and be an ambitious, self-starter eager to take the next step in your career.

6. A salary between £24,000 and £30,000, which depends on your previous experience and qualifications within this area. You will also receive an annual bonus of 4%, which increases after time.
