What you will do in your working day
At Progression Solicitors, all new employees shall be asked to complete an induction period starting with our front of house team.
This period will be discussed at the time of the interview and depend upon the development within the role. This ensures everyone understands the policies and procedures that are integral to the running of Progression Solicitors. Some of the daily routine shall include the following:
* Opening and closing procedures for the office daily
* Greeting and assisting clients. visitors and tradespersons
* Basic security procedures in the organisation by monitoring logbook, check in and out procedures, issuing guest passes/SALTO fobs as required in designated offices. Dealing with hot desks which are operated over all five offices
* Answering and transferring phone calls, taking messages, and providing certain information as directed by a fee earner/manager, or allocated training support person. Monitoring and ordering office supplies
* Sorting and delivery of mail, packages, and products
* Updating all online monitoring procedures carried out for transferal of all documentation between all offices
* Preparing and maintaining meeting and training rooms
* Preparation of drinks for clients, fee earners, management and other members of staff as required
* Performing clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and booking appointments
* Having active listening and communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
* Being able to adapt and learn case management systems and online portals
* Gaining full knowledge of the office manual – policies and procedures that are integral to the running of Progression Solicitors
* Ongoing training in compliance and procedures to include various online and in house mandatory courses
* Ability to gain the confidence to work under pressure, to possess handling skills, technical skills, as well as develop in the future to join and become a valid support member to one of the legal departments alongside the reception role
The training you will be getting
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Programme:
* Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster and Morecambe College
* Functional Skills in maths and English may be required
* Level 3 Business Administration qualification
