Join us as a Trading Team Manager working as part of the Schemes & Delegated Authority (SDA) team within AXA Commercial. You’ll be working as part of the SDA team to deliver the SDA strategy by taking personal accountability for the operational oversight to deliver financial results, underwriting excellence and conduct frameworks as well as maintaining strong partner relationships with DA's. Your leadership skills will help to develop our culture through performance management and the coaching and development of the team to ensure delivery of underwriting and financial performance.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll bring:
* Coaching mindset and the desire to lead others, identifying development areas, providing feedback and building personal development plans.
* Ability to drive prioritisation, focus and results through managing teams and holding effective 121’s, goal setting and performance meetings.
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
* Previous employment in commercial insurance or financial environment is desirable but not essential.
* Pragmatic and confident decision maker.
* Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills with ability to manipulate and interpret data to make informed decisions.
* Continuous improvement mindset with experience of managing self and team effectively.
* Demonstrable delivery of excellent customer service.
* Ability to work in a collaborative environment with peers and by acting as an extension of the leadership.
* Experience of resource and capacity management and planning.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
