Senior HR Business Partner 12-Month FTC Burntisland (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH) Salary £50,000 benefits We’re partnering exclusively with a leading marine services business to recruit a Senior HR Business Partner to lead and support a high-performing HR team during a pivotal period. With a workforce of 750 across the UK and further expansion underway, this is an exciting opportunity to step into a visible, hands-on leadership role. Day to day you will: Lead and mentor a team of two HR Business Partners and an Administrator, providing day-to-day guidance, acting as a senior point of escalation, and ensuring consistency across sites. Act as a key partner to the operational leadership team, particularly across unionised environments, offering pragmatic, commercial HR advice. Own and lead the employee relations agenda, including collective bargaining, union negotiations, and consultations. Support and drive TUPE processes. Step up to provide HR leadership cover when required, particularly in the absence of the Head of HR Operations. Operate as a central figure during a period of HR system change, while maintaining a strong focus on BAU HR delivery. What We’re Looking For A confident and experienced HR Business Partner or Senior HRBP, comfortable in complex, unionised, and multi-site environments. Strong employee relations and industrial relations experience is essential—ideally in a blue-collar, engineering, manufacturing or logistics sector. Proven ability to lead and develop teams; able to give direction while empowering others. Confident advising at all levels, particularly with operational leaders who lean on HR for support in sensitive people matters. Track record in managing TUPE, restructuring, or major change programmes. Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to step into a leadership role when needed. Flexible and pragmatic—able to adapt to changing demands and move at pace. Some travel may be required, circa once a month.
