Repairs Improvement Manager – Closing date – 16.02.2025
Salary from £47,616 to £52,776 pa depending on skills and experience

There are increased responsibilities on Councils to ensure that well-planned effective repairs services are delivered which demonstrably meet all building standards and fire safety requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with the delivery of our repairs service to our 5,000-plus social housing tenants.
We have invested in new technology and systems, and have built a team of skilled technical, professional and support staff to shape our vision for an excellent repairs and planned maintenance service.
Primarily, this role is to provide line management support to the Repairs team to ensure continuous improvement in the effective delivery of Responsive Repairs.
This role of the Repairs Improvement Manager may encompass multiple tasks and functions, including supporting the office team, repair inspectors, and the completion of complaints.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all office functions align with operational constraints and clear communication occurs between service areas, along with:
1. Continually monitoring, reviewing, and improving KPIs.
2. Implementing new systems, procedures, and controls, maintaining management systems across the service.
3. Developing a procurement strategy for the service.
4. Establishing auditable systems across the service.
5. Leading the team in developing quality systems and procedures of all quality documentation flowchart and process maps.
6. Developing training programs in line with requirements for all staff to ensure continuity of service and resilience.
7. Scheduling and programming follow-on works including material ordering and diarizing appointments.
To be proficient in this role, it is essential that you have project-based qualifications such as PRINCE2, strong planning and organisational skills, and excellent communication skills (both oral and written), along with having experience in:
1. Implementation of an integrated management system such as ISO.
2. Social Housing and Local Authority.
3. Knowledge of procurement and tendering processes.
It is a requirement of the role that you are available to work outside office hours to meet service requirements and provide out-of-hours support and resilience to the service on occasions.
