Job summary As the Trust's Database Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the database architecture that supports the current and future needs of the Trust. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that data is effectively managed, integrated / pipelined, and utilised to improve patient care and operational efficiency. The post will also be integral to the Trusts EPR programme, and its associated data and database requirements. The DA reports to the Digital HealthProduct Development Manager, and will line manage a team of staff directly involved in the management of data, encompassing areas such as database administration, integration, and software development, and will provide support and guidance, and act as a mentor to colleagues within Digital Health. Main duties of the job Design and Development:Create and maintain robust database architectures, data models, and documentation to meet the strategic data needs of the Trust. Data Management:Oversee the cataloging, storage, and retrieval of critical data assets, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with NHS data policies. Collaboration:Work with project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to define data requirements and develop solutions that adhere to architectural principles and best practices. Standards and Governance:Develop and implement data standards, policies, and practices across the organisation. Provide subject matter expertise in data architecture standards and governance. Innovation:Continuously research emerging technologies and best practices to ensure the NHS's data architecture remains cutting-edge and efficient. Technical Leadership:Evaluate technical proposals from external suppliers, make implementation recommendations, and provide guidance on data architecture to ensure alignment with the NHS's overall data vision. Data Delivery: Ensure the accurate and timely availability of data through data pipelines, views and other technologies.
