We are proud to cultivate a culture that will fuel your passion, energy and drive and what we call Genki Follow your Genki The Senior Proposal Development Specialist, internally known as a Senior Program Design Specialist, will partner with the Sales and site technical/operations teams in acquiring new business for F UJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. The position’s primary focus will support FDB’s large-scale cell culture and drug product service offering. They will lead technical discussions with potential customers, projecting F UJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies experience and expertise in the relevant service offering. They will develop and author customer-tailored proposals, assist throughout the sales process, and contribute to continuous improvement in proposal strategies. The ideal candidate will preferably be based within reasonable proximity to the UK site or Hillerod, Denmark site. Regular out-of-hours calls may be required, and travel to other FDB sites 3-4 times a year is necessary. The job holder will be responsible for providing support to acquisition of new customers. Principal Accountabilities: Responsible for the technical aspects of customer meetings and teleconferences Accountable for the design of customer programs, from Technology Transfer to cGMP manufacture through targeted and appropriate process development and including all ancillary services deemed necessary by regulations or local policies. Review customer RFPs Perform assessment of customer molecules and processes to assure fit with Fujifilm capabilities and site requirements Prepare proposals in response to RFPs Define program scope, siting/location, timelines, and resources As needed, support the overall sales process, including SoW development, customer meetings and requests Leading role in Program Design’s engagement with the commercial, marketing, process development, and manufacturing teams to promote change and improvements of Fujifilm’s technical offering to better match customer requirements Direct and lead some of the Program Design team’s improvement efforts and initiatives, including efforts to promote and maintain harmonization of work practices across sites Attend webinars and conferences to support Fujifilm’s technology and commercial advancements, as well as keep up to date with current industry advancements All other duties as assigned Minimum Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's of Science required in a relevant biological science field; Master's of Science or PhD preferred 5 years of technical experience at a CDMO, or other applicable role, including experience working directly with customers. Broad understanding of Fujifilm Diosynth’s or relevant CDMO business, including process development, scale up, program management, and manufacturing Understanding of regulatory environment, process development, and analytical technologies related to mammalian processes. Understanding of and experience with cGMP manufacturing and associated requirements Practical experience in and knowledge of cell culture DS and/or DP manufacture Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers in a professional and personable manner and to present a competent image of Fujifilm at all times Ability to analyze complex technical problems and present clear solutions Ability to influence customers and colleagues at all levels At FDB, your passion – your Genki – is your power and we empower you to define what Genki means to you.
