Teaching Assistant
Location: Newark, NG24
Salary: £95 - £105 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role:
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). In this role, you will provide positive and meaningful support to young children aged 5 to 19 with autism spectrum disorders and associated conditions. The position is based at an independent school in Newark, set in the beautiful open countryside. Due to the school's location, access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Support SEN Pupils: Assist students with autism spectrum disorders and related conditions, both individually and in small groups.

Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teaching staff to create a calm and nurturing learning environment.

Implement Lesson Plans: Carry out learning activities as part of the lesson plans, adapting as necessary to meet individual needs.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.

Experience: Preferably, experience across multiple educational provisions, particularly in supporting SEN learners.
