Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with a specialist in Mechanical and Electrical services who are recruiting for an Electrician on a permanent basis.
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum

Purpose of the Role
The Electrician will support the Electrical Manager by delivering electrical work secured. The role requires the ability to independently plan and deliver work assigned to the highest quality and within given timeframes, and in accordance with all statutory requirements, company policies and industry good practice.
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all Health & Safety and CDM regulations and QHSE company policies at all times.
2. Wear the correct PPE for each activity.
3. Follow Safe Systems of Work, adhering to method statements and mitigating the risks appropriately as set out in the risk assessments.
4. Set out jobs and follow a programme of works using knowledge and experience of undertaking similar works, and working to drawings where relevant.
5. Follow client on-site procedures to gain access to the works to be undertaken.
6. Undertake a dynamic 'Take 5' risk assessment prior to commencing each job.
7. Perform and lead on site for electrical works; to include installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, electricity-distribution equipment, lighting fixtures and various control systems.
8. Conduct Fire Equipment Testing including panel, sounders, sensors & emergency lighting.
9. Possess practical, productive and electrical skills with adequate technical knowledge to work independently.
10. Apply a thorough working knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
11. Accept responsibility for job completion and supervise other operatives if required.
12. Complete appropriate paperwork and report any risks or dangerous situations immediately.
13. Record test results accurately on the appropriate certificates or reports.
14. Perform responsive diagnostic work with minimal supervision.
15. Support a customer-focused culture, delivering right first time.
16. Undertake repairs and installation works as instructed.
17. Use the CRM to complete and submit clear job cards and associated paperwork.
18. Ensure all work is delivered to the highest level of quality.
19. Perform a post-audit job check when leaving the site.
20. Minimise waste and adhere to company environmental policies.
21. Act professionally on site, following all procedures and standards.
22. Stay updated with changes in company policies and legislation.
23. Be on the weekly call-out rota for Electricians and attend call outs if required.
24. Undertake additional hours as necessary for effective performance.
25. Care for and maintain all company assets in your possession.
26. Be a responsible driver at all times.
27. Aid alternative trades in completing work tasks as required.
28. Lead on job delivery and support apprentices in their development.
29. Undertake any necessary training and development.
30. Perform any other duties deemed relevant for the role.
Experience/Qualifications:
1. Time Served Apprenticeship - NVQ level 2 & 3 Electrical Installation or NVQ 3 Experienced Worker and AM2.
2. At least 3 years' experience as an electrician.
3. Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
4. ECS Health and Safety Test.
5. JIB Gold Card.
6. Level 3 certification in Inspection, Testing and certification or electrical installations C&G 2391.
7. IOSH/SMSTS/SSSTS or equivalent.
8. IPAF & PASMA certification.
9. Site Safety or CSCS Health and Safety Scheme or equivalent.
10. Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH Legislation.
11. Computer literate with skills in word, excel, email, internet, etc.
12. Highly organised with good time management skills.
13. Experience of working in a small to medium-sized company.
14. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
15. A proactive approach to work and problem solving.
