Job Description We are looking for Senior Cloud DevOps professionals to join our growing Oracle Analytics Applications Cloud team in Oracle, United Kingdom(OCI Government cLOUD). In this role would be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our critical cloud infrastructure including cloud deployments, DevOps tooling, monitoring, incident management across multiple production and pre-production environments, process improvements, and more. Candidates with knowledge on OBIEE/Oracle Analytics Cloud RPD development is preferred, experience in OBIEE/OAC Reports & Dashboard and/or Data Visualization Projects development will be highly desired. Exposure to Data Warehouse design, Star Schema modeling is an added advantage. Candidates with will be responsible for implementing and supporting cloud automation, infrastructure as code, and DevOps best practices to enable scalable and efficient cloud operations. This role will focus on security, networking, and governance, ensuring cloud environments are repeatable, secure, and highly available. The engineer will be working with development and operations teams to enhance platform reliability and efficiency. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud automation, has a strong technical foundation in modern infrastructure practices, and thrives in a DevOps culture focused on continuous improvement. Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling. Also responsible for managing content deployments, that runs complex transformations and ensure smooth execution in production environment. Strong scripting and debugging skills will be key to improve system reliability and performance. Focuses on technical infrastructure and systems that support content delivery, analysis and insights. Anomalies should be detected and mechanisms should be put in place to identify early detection of issues so that mitigation can be handled without impacting the overall timelines. Preferred Skills and Qualifications An ideal candidate will have the follow skillsets: - Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - 4 year experience of running large scale customer facing web service experience in DevOps with hands on expertise on cloud platforms, microservices, deployment and orchestration. - Methodical approaches to troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems. - Experience with Cloud Platforms: Configuration, operations, tools and process. - Cloud Platform experience, such as OCI ,AWS, Azure, or GCP compute, storage, and network operational experience. - Solid Understanding of networking services, such as DNS, HTTP, etc. - Programming and scripting languages (Python, bash, Java Script) and CICD Tools. - Containers and orchestration (Docker, Podman & Kubernetes). - Oracle database, MySQL (experience with MS SQL and/or NoSQL is a plus). - Make effective judgments and choices on design and roadmap based on various considerations. - Work with business and technical teams to understand needs and deliver effective OAC solutions. - Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana is essential. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities - Linux/Unix system administration including system level knowledge of Linux on Cloud Platforms, creating and executing scripts. - Networking and TCP/IP fundamentals. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities - Develop and maintain automated tools and systems to streamline operations, reduce manual intervention and improve overall service efficiency. - Deployment of infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration. - Performing root cause analysis on defects and outages and prevent recurrences. - Monitor system performance, identify potential issues and ensure systems are running efficiently. - Monitor and maintain security measures to protect against threats and ensure compliance. - Write scripts and configurations to automate tasks like building and deploying software. - Ensuring system scalability, security, and high availability. - Responsible for testing and implementing disaster recovery plans to handle major outages. - Monitoring systems to detect potential issues before major incidents are reported in production. - Determines how to optimize the content creation process - As a content engineer is responsible for structuring, optimizing and integrating content across platforms. - Deploy content builds in cloud infrastructure and services using OCI tools and schedule customer deployments - Responsible to establish alerts systems to notify relevant teams when issues arise. - Managing changes to infrastructure, ensuring they are implemented safely and reliably. - Championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the DevOps team. - Identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement, as a DevOps engineers look out to optimize workflows and improve customer experience. - Create custom Analytics reports and customize the data that is used for reporting. This allows them to focus on specific aspects of the service resilience. - Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs and point out to improve overall service resiliency. - Maintaining comprehensive documentation of security practices, procedures and incidents. - Create security controls to mitigate identified risks. - Producing documentation in support of developed work (KBs, run books, help guides). - Collaborating with software developers to optimize deployment processes. - Assisting with system troubleshooting and problem resolution. - Documenting technical procedures and configurations. - Automating security processes and integrating security tools with pipelines to create and assign jira to specific stakeholders. - Proactively monitor build and deployment, troubleshoot issues, and resolve errors. - Automating tasks and process within software development lifecycle, such as CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure management. - Support the operations of Oracle Analytics Applications on OCI using Cloud DevOps methodologies including: - Incident management: analyze T2 metrics, and alarms, alongside Lumberjack logs. Troubleshoot, repair, and document infrastructure and service issues. - Start / stop / upgrade cloud infrastructure and services using OCI tools. - Participate in 24x7 technical support offering customer technical assistance to manage Oracle Analytics Data Intelligence service. - Manage and continuously improve existing Oracle Analytics Apps cloud capabilities and tools, with a focus on OCI tools, process, and configuration. - Perform daily tasks in accordance with process, compliance and regulatory standards. - Gain and maintain UK Gov security clearance. - Minimum 5 years of residency in the UK, with no more than 6 months outside of the UK at any one time For United Kingdom NSC Roles - Support the product as part of its 24/7 uptime model. As a member of UK Gov Cloud you will be on-call for weekly shifts. The shift is 7 days, so over the week-end and during holidays. The on-call shift could be as often one week per month. - This person will be required to either have or gain security clearance for Federal Government work.
