The vacancy Your typical day could involve servicing / repairing a boiler for a new customer, ensuring the system meets current regulations and complies to manufactures instructions. Ensuring the customer understands how to use the controls, demonstrations might be required. Later, you could find yourself troubleshooting a heating system fault for a vulnerable resident, ensuring they have access to safe and reliable heating before the day ends. As a Gas Heating Service & Repair Engineer, you'll be delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring residents' homes are safe, warm, and compliant to current regulations. No two days will be the same as you tackle a range of tasks from repairs / servicing to engaging with customers about their heating needs. You'll play a key role in creating comfortable living spaces, all while ensuring the highest safety standards. You're a practical problem solver with a passion for quality and a commitment to customer care. You'll collaborate with various teams and build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders, and colleagues. You'll need to spend time in customers' homes conducting your work, and you'll also be expected to manage your administrative tasks efficiently from either the office or remotely when needed. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of servicing, including fault-finding, safety inspections, and compliance documentation. Technically proficient, with experience in gas installations, repairs, and servicing on a variety of boiler systems. Safety-conscious, with a strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and a commitment to health and safety compliance. This role is subject to a DBS check, and you'll need the relevant Gas Safe certifications and awareness of health and safety practices.
