Key Responsibilities You will be required to provide mechanical design expertise working closely with the Lead Process Engineer, the Project Manager, CAD Technicians, and other engineering disciplines to deliver WWTP and WTW projects.
Perform concept/optioneering, preliminary and detailed MICA design of water / wastewater treatment plants Design of MICA aspects for Water and Wastewater delivery and collection networks, and associated plant for treatment (e.g., pumps, pumping stations, filters, filtration systems, hydraulic design, and appropriate valve/pipe selection).
Research and development of new equipment and solutions.
Application of appropriate software to provide advice, solutions, and successful outcomes to achieve project objectives.
Adopting relevant standards in design to streamline engineering tasks.
Developing drawings of equipment and plant layouts as required.
Developing PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Process & instrumentation Drawings) and equipment schedules.
Developing hydraulic, energy, mechanical calculations as part of the detailed design.
Integrate within our multi-disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions to clients Interface with other engineering disciplines including civil, Process and structural Ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior staff Ability to manage a challenging workload.
A team player with a mature approach including first-class inter-personal skills Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health & Safety Regulations Represent and promote Ayesa in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with clients and potential clients Management of projects in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS) Key Requirements Minimum of 10 years’ experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.
Has achieved Chartered status A degree and ideally master’s in mechanical engineering Experienced in the design and construction of mechanical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MICA) systems.
Proven track record in the development and delivery of technical MICA design solutions in industrial and municipal settings, and in accordance with specifications used in Ireland and United Kingdom Demonstrated ability to develop drawings of equipment and plant layouts as required in conjunction with the CAD team Demonstrated ability developing PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Drawings) Technical and report writing skills (Design, Planning, Tender, Commissioning, Construction Stage) Good understanding of the principles of water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment Proven track record in equipment selection, equipment design, application engineering, proposal support and operational support Has undertaken preliminary and detailed MICA design of water / wastewater treatment plants based on data provided and achieved the desired MICA performance criteria Demonstrate an ability to develop hydraulic, energy, mechanical calculations as part of the detailed design Demonstrate an ability to understand complex problems and to conceive innovative solutions Has a strong work ethic, capable of working on their own initiative with proven strong problem-solving skills Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aim to exceed client expectations Is committed to Continued Professional Development and remains up to date with current developments in the industry.
