To manage the Decontamination Service Specialist Team and the site based building and engineering team. To undertake performance and development appraisals for members of the Decontamination Estates Specialist team. Take a lead role as senior test person for decontamination equipment. The postholder will liaise with external agencies such as Authorised Persons, training establishments, manufacturers, suppliers and Government Agencies. The postholder will provide advice to trust officers relating to a safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective maintenance system of all decontamination equipment, associated specialist equipment/plant and accommodation, HSDU and CSSD equipment/services. The postholder will carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repair service, testing and validation on all medical device decontamination equipment as listed above to ensure medicals devices for invasive procedures are decontaminated in compliance with all statutory guidance, best practice and Trust protocols. The postholder will ensure delivery of relevant associated contracted and planned preventative maintenance, repairs, testing and validation requirements of all the Retained Estates building and engineering services associated with the Pinderfields, Pontefract and off site Intermediate Care facilities. The postholder is responsible for ensuring value for money for the Decontamination Team Service and the Building and Engineering Maintenance Service managing delegated financial resources.
