The post will be based at Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes but will work Fife wide. As a progressive employer, we offer the opportunity to work in this role as a “blended working” arrangement with home-working opportunities and occasional office-working as required. While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely, candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required. Key tasks in the role include: Survey, measurement and inspection of domestic and non-domestic properties. Creation and maintenance of property files. Operation of in-house computer systems and databases. Organising own workload to meet deadlines and make best use of resources. Providing assistance in the preparation of appeal cases to be presented before the Local Taxation Chamber. Preparation of survey reports. Research and collation of information required to assist in appeals, proposals and valuations. Downloading plans from the e-planning website and researching other property information. Dealing with general property enquiries received by the Service. Working as a member of a team.
