Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Standish
Salary: £45,567.60 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08.00am - 4.30pm (40 hours per week)
Due to continuous growth, our client is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician for a permanent contract (subject to a 6-month probationary period) to start as soon as possible.

Job Responsibilities:
* Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
* Maintenance Service: Provide full maintenance and electrical maintenance services to the process plant and other designated areas, including the manufacturing site.
* Repairs: Perform maintenance and repairs on steam boilers, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, and other plant equipment.
* Installation: Install chemical plant equipment, valves, and pressure relief valves under the management of change.
* Testing and Calibration: Test and calibrate to Quality Control specifications.
* Building and Electrical Maintenance: Conduct general building and electrical maintenance repairs.
* Breakdown Resolution: Resolve any unplanned breakdowns safely and expediently.
* Shutdown Coordination: Liaise with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all items required for scheduled shutdown are obtained, minimising stoppage time while maintaining safe working procedures.
* Incident Reporting: Immediately report any incidents that management needs to address using the appropriate reporting systems.
* Corrective and Preventive Action: Respond to required corrective and preventive actions in a timely manner.
* Additional Duties: Carry out additional duties as directed by the Directors.
Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
* Practical hands-on attitude
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing and maintaining PPE
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach to working
* Experience in planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and fault finding
* Knowledge of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three-phase)
* Qualifications: Electrical Qualification and Apprenticeship Qualified
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role
* Electrical/Mechanical Split: Electrical 70 / 30 Mechanical
Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Experience in an ATEX chemical/process type industry
Experience working on a COMAH site
Understanding of chemical processes
Troubleshooting skills
Instrumentation experience

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382)
Test and Inspect 2391
CompEx Certification (EX01-04)
