New Directions have been approached to help recruit for a fabulous opportunity for a Part-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at a primary school in Ellesmere Port. We are seeking a compassionate individual to join this great team supporting a Year 5 pupil on a 1:1 basis in the mornings from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
1. Adapting lessons to aid the student with their learning
2. Working closely with class teachers across the school
3. Report feedback on the student’s learning
4. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the student
5. Other ad hoc duties when required

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
20. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
21. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
22. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
23. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
24. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
